p. 10 v.-11 –application of the Grocholski representative to the Podolian deputation; refers to the genealogical decrees, Volhynian 23.07.1814 and Podolian 21.03.1827, approved by the Heraldry in 1840 (see below); Henryk s. Michał grandson of Marcin great-grandson of Michał Grocholski received permission to prove his right to the title. By decree of the Heraldry, on the basis of approved by His Majesty 26.05.1881 opinion of the State Council allowed to use the title to Stanisław and Tadeusz sons of Michał, on the basis that the ancestor of this family Piotr from Komarów in 1469 was appointed count by the king of Bohemia (i.e. Czech) Maciej, on the same basis 3 names Michał Roman Władysław son of Jan Nepomucen and grandson of Franciszek brother of Marcin s. Michał also received the right, confirmed in the decree of the Heraldry Department of the Senate 20.04.1890 (no. 1850), sent to the Podolian deputation. But Bernand Józef Marian Stefan and Marian Józef Maurycy Władimir were joined to the family without the title, therefore asking for confirmation of the count title also for this line. Lists birth certificates and other documents confirming this right, attached to the application.
p. 13-20. protocol of the Podolian deputation 13.11.1897, it was decided to record Bernard Józef Marian Stefan with his wife Olga-Maria-Zofia Władimirowna and their sons and Marian Józef Maurycy Władimir, sons of Maciej Mieczysław Józef Maria, grandsons of Ludwik, great-grandsons of Marcin s, Michał Grocholski to part 5 of the genealogical book of the Podolian province, but first to send for approval to the Heraldry Department of the Senate

p. 21, Decree of the Volhynian noble deputation 16.03.1850. Application of the Russian citizen Mieczysław s. Ludwik Grocholski, who with a passport of the Austrian State in 1849 came to his father landowner of the Volhynian province of the Zasław district Ludwik s. Marcin Grocholski, and took the citizenship of the Russian Empire, «he finds it appropriate for himself the title of nobleman of the Russian Empire, in which his father landowner Ludwik Marcin Grocholski was recognized by this assembly on 23 July 1814 and by the decree of the Temporary Presence of the Heraldry PS followed in 1841 under No. 2645 confirmed, wishes with his family to be included in the nobility of the Volhynian province». He has daughters Michalina, 5 years old, Zofia, 3 years old and Maria (1 and 12 year). His origin is proved by the birth certificate from the church of Konczineck (illegible), certified by the Austrian authorities and the Russian embassy, from which it follows that Mateusz Mieczysław Józef Maria (4 names) was born 6.07.1812, from parents Ludwik and Marianna née Bawrowska (sic! should be Baworowska S.D.) Grocholscy. By the decree of this deputation 1814 (no. 13) recognized as noble and recorded in part 6 of the genealogical book Jan Dukla (sic), Michał, Mikołaj and Ludwik sons of Marcin Grocholscy; this decree confirmed by the decree of the Temporary Office of the Heraldry 28.02.1841 (no. 2645), regarding the count title, which he uses, referring to the application of Henryk Grocholski (see above), he will have the right to prove it.
This family is recorded in the family lists of the nobility of the Zasław district in category 1 (i.e. owners of subjects), while in the list of emigrants (“изгнанников из России”) under no. 94 is mentioned the son of the landowner of the Zasław district Count Rafał Grocholski. However, his daughters were not joined to the family at that time, as he did not provide their birth certificates.

Certificate of the border guard of the Ministry of Finance to Count Stefan Grocholski that through the Woloczny border point he went abroad with his own carriage (old phaeton, renovated, in dark color, with red stripes on the axles, copper door handles, part of the handle broken on the right side, 2-person carriage, has places for lanterns, but does not have them, covered with gray sailcloth, harnessed with four horses, old harness (“с местами для фонарей, но таковых не имеется, обитая парусиной серого цвета, запряженная четверкою лошадей в рабочие хомуты стaрыe”. OPINION OF THE STATE COUNCIL
Extracted from the journal of the Department of Civil and Spiritual Affairs 5 October 1898 no. 33 (according to the outgoing book). [number handwritten]
The State Council, in the Department of Civil and Spiritual Affairs, considering the determination of the Heraldry Department of the Governing Senate on the count dignity of the Grocholski nobles, decided: to allow Bernard-Joseph-Marian-Stefan, with his offspring, and Marian-Joseph-Mauritius-Vladimir Matveyev-Mieczysław-Joseph-Maria Grocholski to use in Russia the count title of the kingdoms of Hungary and Bohemia.

Reply of the Heraldry Department to the prosecutor, informing that the opinion of the State Council approved on 18.11.1898 for using the count title of the Kingdoms of Hungary and Bohemia indeed authorized Marian Józef Maurycy-Władimir s. Maciej Mieczysław-Józef Grocholski and indeed this certificate was issued to him.
